UPDATE @ 12:38 P.M.:

Kroger has resolved its electricial issues for its frozen cases, according to a Kroger spokeswoman.

INITIAL REPORT:

A Kroger in Dayton is still working to resolve electrical issues that are impacting frozen cases in the store, a spokeswoman told this news organization on Monday evening.

The Kroger at 1555 Wayne Ave. in Dayton has been unable to sell frozen products, and posted notes on the freezer cases in the store explaining the situation to shoppers. The freezers were impacted after power was knocked out in the store by a strong storm last week. The weather knocked out power to more than 55,000 Dayton Power & Light customers.

A spokeswoman told the Dayton Daily News that the store is still having issues impacting the freezers, but it could be fixed soon.

“We have a company onsite working diligently working to resolve the electrical issue with our frozen cases. We are hoping to have the issue resolved today. Our Wayne Avenue store team is ready to assist customers looking for frozen products that are currently being stored in our backroom freezers,” the spokeswoman said in an email.

Grocery items like produce, meats and other perishables were said to be in “limited availability,” according to signs posted in the store.
