You are bidding on a vintage Montague Rapidan 9, threepiece bamboo fly rod.nbsp It is in attractive shape.nbsp All line guides are present, ferrules are very clean, and the windings are not frayed.nbsp The line guides are wound in a mustard yellow thread.nbsp There isnbspsome damage to the cork grip and the "Genuine Tonkin" lettering is partially missing.nbsp There is also a slight set in the tip section (each section is three long) to the right as you would fish with it.
I also have the rod bag with it as well as an aluminum storage tube and cap.nbsp I am unsure if this came with the rod or not, but it looks as old as the rod.
This is a garage find, but is in really attractive shape.nbsp I have not fished with it, and do not know what line weight would be best.nbsp It would be a great addition to anyones antique fishing equipment collection, or as a great sample to start 1 with.
