Overview

They dreamed the dreams. They harnessed the technologies.  They created a world where the sky was no longer the limit. The National Aviation Hall of Fame honors them for their service to country, their ingenuity, their courage, and their vision.  The stories of our NAHF enshrinees are stories of America…of challenge and failure, of determination and, triumph.

Our Learning and Research Center has been designed to reflect their passion and innovation.  Our exhibits and interactives will inspire young people to embrace the potential of technology, and to understand how our enshrinees harnessed and applied it in order to breathe life into man’s dream of flight.

Many exciting things are happening at the National Aviation Hall of Fame.    Our educational goals are comprehensive.  Project SkyReach is a nationwide initiative geared toward using aviation themes to energize students toward traditional classroom curriculum.  There is also a vital character component built into our program.  New lesson plans are being loaded onto the website so check back often.

The National Aviation Hall of Fame’s is located adjacent to the National Museum of the United States Air Force.  Our hours of operation are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Saturday and 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sundays.  We are closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, Easter and all federal holidays.  Admission and parking is free.
