Sales of the New-England style brew will help support the zoo’s rhino conservation efforts.
The brewery said they decided to make the beer after they sold out of their Fiona-inspired IPA in May. Listermann raised over $20,000 for Fiona, according to General Manager Jason Brewer.
“When Kendi was born, we knew we had to make a beer for him,” Brewer said.
Brewer said Kendi’s beer has a different flavor and color profile than Fiona’s brew.
“Kendi has big notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach and citrus,” he said.
