3 reasons you should watch Dave Chappelle’s Netflix special

Dave Chappelle’s comedy will be back on the small screen in a matter of days, thanks to Netflix.  

The streaming service will release two comedy concert specials in a three-part series featuring the Yellow Springs area resident on March 21. 

Chappelle is currently on the road preparing for the third special, according to the Associated Press. 

Here are 3 things to know about the Netflix exclusive. 

 

A LONG TIME COMING

It is the first comedy special in a decade for the actor and comedian best known for the 2003 Comedy Central sketch comedy show, “The Chappelle Show.”

TWO HOURS OF CHAPPELLE

The hour-long specials “Dave Chappelle: The Age of Spin” and “Dave Chappelle: Deep in the Heart of Texas” are from the acclaimed comedian’s personal vault. 

One of the specials was filmed at the Palladium in Los Angeles in March 2016. The other was filmed in April of 2015 at the Moody Theater in Austin.

Netflix first announced the series of three special in November. Spin magazine and several other news organization say it’s a $60 million deal.
