According to Gabbard, show-goers can expect “extra special solo sets from three local artists and a DJ, and I'm assuming some holiday cheer peppered in here and there.”
Andy Gabbard’s Holiday Special will feature musicians performing as Christmas icons Santa, Jesus, Krampus, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

Musician Randy Cornett of Dayton band Roley Yuma will be kicking off the show. Cornett is taking on the role of half-goat, half-demon Krampus, who in contrast to Santa, punishes children who have misbehaved.
Tyler Randall, who plays sitar as part of the Cincinnati duo Dawg Yawp, is playing a solo set as Jesus. Dawg Yawp has recently enjoyed popularity after being featured on an NPR Tiny Desk Concert.

Luke Tandy, who owns Dayton's newest record store, Skeleton Dust Records, will be DJing a set under the name DJ Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.
“He's my favorite DJ of all-time. He's super creative and has very good taste in music,” Gabbard says.

Andy Gabbard, who says he “may or may not actually perform in a Santa suit” plans to perform some classic holiday songs as well as some originals from X-MAS EEEPEE.

“I really enjoy Christmas albums made by some of my favorite artists like Beach Boys and NRBQ,” explains Gabbard. “For X-MAS EEEPEE, I just used songs I was working on at the time and wrote X-mas themed lyrics for them. I added sleigh bells. I'm happy with how they turned out.”

Promoter David Obenour, who organized the show, expressed his excitement about the event. “We couldn’t be happier with this lineup. It’s eclectic but not too far reaching,” he says. “There’s going to be costumes, there’s going to be performance art, it’s definitely going to be a different kind of Holiday special.”
