Guided by Voices returns to Dayton for electric show

Guided By Voices was in Dayton last night!

The famous Dayton band led by Robert Pollard recently reformed for a second time since breaking up in 2004. The revived indie rock act is on a summer tour with more than 20 dates, including a performance at Oddbody's Music Room in Dayton that took place Thursday, June 23. Thursday's Oddbody's show was Guided By Voices' first hometown appearance since participating in the Downtown Dayton Revival Music Festival in September 2012.

"This concert was so amazing! You could tell there were a lot of people in the audience who have followed Bob Pollard for years yet there were quite a few people who were probably experiencing their first GBV show ever," Dayton.com contributor Lauren Rinehart told us. " The vibe was electric -- this lineup has a ton of energy!  I can't wait to see them in Cleveland and Cincinnati next month!"
