The 2017 Girl Scout Cookie season may have started last month, but the most anticipated event involving the delicious confections of caloric temptation may be next month.
Craft beer fans will want to circle March 12 on their calendars when Fig Leaf Brewing Company in Middletown hosts a Girl Scout Cookie and beer paring event.
The brewery is teaming up with Cincinnati chapter of Girls Pint Out, an organization for women who love craft beer. Tickets are $20 and available online. Participants will receive a flight of four beers, two cookies per beer taste and a pint of their choosing.
Kat Finn, the event’s organizer and co-chapter head of Cincinnati Girls Pint Out, said this is an extension of similar events held by other Girls Pint Out chapters.
“Well, other chapters of Girls Pint Out across the country have this event annually. Last year we had our first beer pairing events with doughnuts, and those were very successful.”
This is just the first in what will be several food and beer pairing events in 2017 for the group.
“This year we are planning to do more fun and exciting pairing events that get all kinds of people, from beer aficionados to people new to craft beer to explore it in a fun atmosphere,” Finn said.
