Judging begins at 5:30 p.m. in the beard and moustache categories, which are explained below.
There is also creative beard contest for kids and women, with beards pre-crafted from various materials.
The competition is meant to raise awareness of the opiate epidemic in Montgomery County, organizer Raymond Whitsel of Synful Beard Oil and Balms, said.

The Dayton native who now lives in West Alexandra said he wants to help find a solution to the opiate epidemic that has plagued Montgomery County.

“I want to help people and people who can’t help themselves,” he said.
Proceeds will benefit Brigid's Path, an inpatient facility for drug-exposed newborns, and Nova Behavioral Health, an alcohol, drug and mental health treatment service.
Advance tickets are $12 and are available at Synful Beard Oil and Balms Facebook page www.facebook.com/SynfulOils/. Tickets at the door are $15.

✂️ FREE STYLE BEARD
Free design and styling of the beard. All full beards not meeting the criteria for other categories may compete in this category. Styling aids* permitted.
✂️ NATURAL MOUSTACHE
Moustache as it grows and left natural. The more natural the better. No closed curls. All hair growing from more than 1.5 cm past the corner of the mouth must be shaved. The moustache may be maintained but without styling aids.
✂️ FULL BEARD (various lengths will be judged)
