1.) Where to find parking

Shuttle bus parking is provided by the Athletic Boosters at Wayne Local High School, 659 Dayton Road -- just follow the signs for shuttle parking.

Private parking is available at various locations surrounding the festival, but isn’t operated by the Waynesville Area Chamber of Commerce or the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival. (In other words: use private parking at your own risk.)

2.) The weather

Luckily for you, weather is going to be pretty good for festival-goers this weekend. According to WHIO.com, this weekend will be a warm one -- and "the pick day for the weekend is Saturday which will be sunny and around 80 degrees." Make sure you check out their full weather forecast for the Sauerkraut Festival.

3.) The food & fun

The food is must-try. There are a few sauerkraut-related items that are huge hits every year: cabbage rolls, German sundaes (a mashed potato with sauerkraut, cheese, sour cream, olive on top) and sauerkraut pizza (the sauerkraut is layered over the cheese, mixed with the sausages and onions). Read more on the food here.

4.) What to do in Waynesville

If you’re making your way to town to enjoy the festival, stick around for a bit. There’s a lot to do and see, like shop for antiques and check out some other unique shops.
