TONIGHT ONLY: Oasis rock doc showing at the Neon

Supersonic, the film available in the U.S. for one night only, will be shown tonight at the Neon Movies tonight, Oct. 26.

It claims to capture the rise, interstellar orbit, and eventual disintegration of one of pop music’s biggest bands, Oasis.

If you were searching for an ideal 90s band for a rock ‘n’ roll documentary — or “rockumentary” (apologies to Marty DiBergi) — you’d be hard pressed to find a better subject than the Brit rockers.

Like most good rock stories, drugs, alcohol, fights, firings and lawsuits are firmly affixed to the Oasis story. Labeled everything from geniuses to Beatles rip-offs, the band — led by dueling brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher — released seven studio albums in their 18-year career, with hits like “Wonderwall," “Live Forever” and “Supersonic."
