Dayton area grad on 'House Hunters' today

A Dayton area graduate and her husband will see their hunt for the perfect home broadcast nationwide.

Megan and Richard Charney will be featured 10 p.m. tonight, Dec. 7, on HGTV's "House Hunter."

The Ohio State alumna graduated from Valley View High School in Germantown in 2005.

Her husband, also 29, was raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from Ohio University, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

"It was really crazy," Megan Charney told the Dispatch. "We applied on HGTV's website and didn't think much would come of it. We told them about our story, making a move from L.A. to Ohio. I guess that worked."

While in LA, Megan worked in marketing. Her husband was a DirecTV producer.

The pair moved back to Ohio from Los Angeles in 2015 to grow their family, the Dispatch reports. The couple's daughter Arabella was born a week ago.

House Hunters documents the house-buying process.

The Charneys toured houses in Clintonville, Westerville, and Hilliard as part of the show.

Megan Charney now owns  Best Day Ever Films, a Columbus-based wedding and event cinematography business.

Richard Charney is a producer at Spacejunk Media.
