Adult sport leagues: Groups like Sportcial and Gem City Social Sports offer grown-up (but still low-key) leagues for tee-ball, kickball and cornhole, with an obligatory side of burgers and beers. These are adult leagues, after all. Leagues last for a couple of weeks, so we're not talking about a serious commitment here -- just an opportunity to get to know your neighbors and have a good time. The new downtown can make that dream come true, too. It's a great way to get out to both see and participate in the booming downtown experience.

Brewery tours and tastings: As you have definitely noticed, Dayton has become quite the hub for really wonderful breweries. Many local breweries offer their own tours, but there are new ways to get a group of friends together and explore multiple stops with safe transportation and a helpful guide. RiverScape River Run: It's not ALL about beer and the nightlife, however. Riverscape River Run is an amazing way to enjoy the new downtown while catching some sun and staying active. The $4-million project just made its grand opening in May and people are already enjoying this amazing idea sponsored by the Greater Downtown Dayton Plan. The new River Run encourages visitors to enjoy a seven-mile paddle down the Great Miami River right through Riverscape and downtown Dayton. Take the easy-flowing route or the more-challenging whitewater path through two new features in the river. These new structures allow for fishing and sunbathing, as well. If you'd like a refresher course before taking to the water, Five Rivers MetroParks are offering paddling classes for all ages.
