Are you a Dayton native, or do you have an interesting story about how you got here?
Johnson: I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and then Columbia, South Carolina. My husband took a job in Dayton, and here we are. We have lived here since 1986.

What is the OAR, how are you involved, and why is it important to Ohioans?
Johnson: OAR is the Ohio Association of Realtors, which governs our industry here in Ohio. OAR keeps us legal, looks out for the consumer, and helps with laws that affect our real estate careers. I am on the executive committee at OAR and am District 5 (from St. Mary's south through Cincinnati) vice president. I have been very involved at OAR since 2006.

What's your favorite childhood memory?
Johnson: My favorite childhood memory was going to visit my grandparents every Sunday and having dinner with our extended family.  That was such a tradition.  It was an hour's drive each way but well worth it.

Tell us what it's like to work for Coldwell Banker Heritage Realtors.
Johnson: Working at Coldwell Banker can be extremely challenging. CBHR has so much to offer their agents and customers, it will make your head spin. The technology is FANTASTIC. I have been a realtor for 28 years, and I have never thought my business could be so good. I really feel that the company has been a big part of my success. The people are so helpful, the management listens to their agents, and customers come first.

You're a new addition to a crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Johnson: My color would be powder blue, like the sky on a sunny day. Light, upbeat and sunny!

How has Dayton's real estate market changed in the past 10 years?
Johnson: Wow, what a question! We had a high in 2006, the height of the market. In 2008 the market fell, prices dropped, housing was slow to sell, and it was a buyers' market for sure. In 2011 we started to come back but very slowly, and now it is definitely a sellers' market with not enough listings and more buyers than houses to sell. We are now getting multiple offers, and houses are selling at more than list price. What a change in the right direction. I love working this current market!
