4 of our favorite Dayton holiday light displays

What are the holidays without a little Christmas lighting? Nothing like taking a stroll through a Winter Wonderland of lights this holiday season with friends or family. Grab some warm hot cocoa, a hat and gloves and check out these incredible displays right here in the Dayton area…

Woodland Lights | 895 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Washington Township

(pictured above) This illuminated, wooded path is a half-mile long, with sights of quirky characters preparing for the holidays. This year, Woodland Lights has added a laser light show and tunnel of lights. They also have partnered with Carillon Historical Park for a trackless train ride that you must experience!

Clifton Mill | 75 Water St., Clifton

This 3.5 million-light display is one you can't miss! There are amazing lights that cover everything, right down to the waterfall. Every hour, on the hour, all 3.5 million lights go completely dark, and your attention is turned to the bridge. Orchestral music begins to play, and the lights on the bridge come on to the rhythm of the symphony.

Fort St. Claire’s Whispering Christmas | 135 Camden Rd., Eaton

A display that started with 800 lights in 1987 now holds close to two million Christmas lights! This beautiful park actually allows you to drive through the entire display, so you can stay warm in your car the whole time. There also is a place to park, allowing you to visit Santa's Cabin and the Little Christmas Village, as well.

Light Up Middletown | 500 Tytus Ave., Middletown

Take a drive through this 100-acre park, with themed lighting displays that will put a smile on your face. There is a Santa's workshop, penguin village, helicopter, and so much more!

These are a just a few of the many holiday lighting displays in the Dayton area! The City of Oakwood Holiday of Lights Festival is coming up on Monday, Dec. 12, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Shafor Park, so be sure to check it out.
