WATCH: This Dayton park is gorgeous from the air (and has been for more than 100 years)

Island MetroPark is close to 103, and it looks as gorgeous as ever.

The land the downtown park now sits on was first White City Amusement Park in the late 19th century, including amusement rides.

In June 2014, it officially became Island Park, where it has been available to the public as recreation space since.

Seen from the air, as in the video above, we can see how waterways pass by the park and its amenities, like playgrounds and a band shell that first opened in 1940.
