Airport expected to select 1 taxi provider, leaving out 10 others

Dayton commissioners on Wednesday will vote whether to make Dayton Express Cab Co. the sole provider of taxi services at the Dayton International Airport.

Recently, about 11 taxicab companies operated at the airport. But last year, the city invited cab companies to bid for the right to operate and manage taxi services at the facility.

City commissioners two days from now will vote on a three-year agreement with Dayton Express Cab to handle all taxi services at the aviation facility. The company has provided cab services in the city for more than 16 years.
