CareSource expansion to create 100 new jobs in Dayton

CareSource is planning to expand its Medicaid business into Indiana next year, which is expected to generated 200 jobs in Ohio and Indiana, about half of which will be added at CareSource’s downtown headquarters, company officials said Thursday.

CareSource, one of the nation’s largest Medicaid managed care providers, has been selected by the state of Indiana as one of four providers who will administer the state’s managed care program and its Medicaid alternative expansion program.

CareSource will now offer Mediciaid managed care services in three states: Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

In additioin to 100 new jobs in Dayton, CareSource will add 100 positions in Indianapolis, including positions at the CareSource Indiana office and additional positions to provide enhanced call center services.

CareSource currently serves more than 1.5 million members in four states. This includes 1.3 million Medicaid members in Ohio. In Indiana, 27,000 Hoosiers are enrolled in CareSource Marketplace and Medicare Advantage health plans in Indiana.
