The Chick-fil-A restaurant at 2360 N. Fairfield Road south of the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek is getting a significant kitchen makeover.
The restaurant will shut down for about three weeks starting Friday, Oct. 27 for a remodel. Store officials believe the project will take about three weeks, and they plan to reopen sometime during the week of Nov. 20, a spokeswoman for the restaurant said in a release.

The store’s customers are advised to visit the other Beavercreek Chick-fil-A located in the Mall at Fairfield Commons food court. That location is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It does not serve breakfast.
The project was originally scheduled to begin Sept. 23, but was pushed back.

The project will include a 250-square-foot addition to the store’s kitchen and the installation of new frying equipment that will help employees serve customers more efficiently, store officials said.
“We’ll be able to produce more food and get more cars through out drive-through window quickly,” a Chick-fil-A store spokeswoman said. The restaurant’s catering services also will benefit from the renovation, she said. The renovated store will reopen with the same seating capacity of 120, and it already has two drive-through windows.

The North Fairfield Road store is 10 years old. The Mall at Fairfield Commons restaurant has been open for 24 years. Both are operated by franchise owner Rex Brooking.

Some employees will work at the Fairfield Commons restaurant during the shutdown, and others will undertake deep-cleaning projects in the restaurant’s dining area while the kitchen is renovated, store officials said in September.

Last year, the Dayton area’s first free-standing Chick-fil-A on Miamisburg-Centerville Road east of the Dayton Mall shut down for five weeks for what ended up being a $1 million makeover.
