JUST IN: Local steakhouse launches new online ordering with a twist

A steakhouse chain that operates two southwest Ohio restaurants has launched an online-ordering system with a few twists designed to make it easier for diners to use.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill announced today that it has established an online ordering platform for all of its locations. There are two southwest Ohio Firebirds restaurants: at 3500 Rigby Road in the Austin Landing development in Miami Twp., and at 5075 Deerfield Blvd. in the Deerfield Towne Center in Mason.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer ToGo ordering online, making Firebirds more accessible for our guests and giving them the ability to customize their meals, easily order for large groups and even schedule a later time for pick up, all online,” Firebirds CEO Mark Eason said in a release. “As our guest base increases and technology continues to evolve, we plan to grow with them.”

The Firebirds online-ordering system allow Firebirds’ guests to personalize their meals and schedule their preferred time for pickup. It also provides a group-order feature that allows each person in the group to place their personal order on a link, bypassing the need for a sign-up sheet or email chain asking for each participant’s food order. Each order is automatically added to the group order.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill opened its Austin Landing restaurant in October 2014. The 6,764-square-foot restaurant seats 255 and has an indoor stone fireplace and an outdoor patio. The restaurant chain is based in Charlotte, N.C.
