Local bar & dance club open again after 3-month hiatus

A local bar and live-music venue that was closed for three months has relocated and hosted a ribbon-cutting and grand opening on Friday, Oct. 13.

Ziggy's in Moraine moved a block up the street, from 5670 N. Springboro Pike (Ohio 741) to 5528 N. Springboro Pike, after its lease was bought out as to make way for an upcoming Kroger construction project.

The new space, next to a Dollar Tree store, previously housed a Blockbuster Video shop. At about 5,800 square feet, it is about twice the size of the original Ziggy’s.

Ziggy’s is open seven days a week until 2:30 a.m., and will offer live music on Friday and Saturday nights. During football season, the bar opens at noon on Saturday and Sunday. On other days, it opens at 2 p.m., according to Jill Bender, Ziggy’s day manager.

The bar’s kitchen will not be fully up and running until around the first of the year, Bender said. It will focus on pizza and sandwiches.

Ziggy’s is owned by Elizabeth Enterman, who took over full ownership in 2015 after her late husband, Mike Enterman, passed away.
