Dave Chappelle: ‘You are poor; (Donald Trump) is fighting for me’

Dave Chappelle says President Donald Trump is fighting for someone -- but it is not who poor white people think it is.

“You are poor,” Chappelle, a Yellow Springs resident, says in a clip from his latest Netflix special. “He’s fighting for me.”

The nearly two-minute clip for the special, Equanimity, was related to the 2016 election. It is set to be released on New Year's Eve on Netflix.

In it, Chappelle talks about the "poor whites" who elected President Trump.

It follows the March 21 release of “The Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood Palladium”and “Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dave Chappelle Live at Austin City Limits.”

The trio is said to have netted Chappelle $60 million.
