Dayton named as Ohio's drunkest city

Go home, you’re drunk.

Ordinarily, it might be embarrassing to make news headlines for your drunken debauchery. Good thing the Gem City is far from ordinary.

Dayton was actually just named Ohio's drunkest city in a recent article by Road Snacks.

With 13 local breweries, a distillery and the most liquor stores per capita, it's no wonder Daytonians are having so much fun.

"We don't have a drinking problem, we have a drinking solution," declared Amelia Robinson, Dayton.com reporter, upon hearing this news.

We couldn't have said it better.

There comes a time in everyone’s life where you must re-evaluate the course you’re on.  This is not one of those times.  Rather than lament this news, this calls for a celebration.

Local beer

In the words of Dayton's Warped Wing Brewery, "Share a pint, make a friend."

Wine about it

Whine about the news over a glass of wine at any of these local wineries.

Drive safe

If there’s one key takeaway from this, it’s that Ohioans need to make smarter choices when it comes to drinking and driving.  According to RoadSnacks, Ohio has the 14th highest number of DUIs in the country, and that’s a list we don’t want to be leaders on. The good news is Dayton has plenty of options for those without their own designated driver.
