Dayton woman on MTV's 'Catfish'

Dayton was caught in MTV's catfish net.

As we told you in October, the TV show Catfish came to town to film segments for an episode.

That episode aired this week.

The story revolved around a 20-year-old man named Jaylin. We don't know exactly where Jaylin is from, but some of the footage from the episode looks a lot like Kettering. He has a problem that only Nev and Max can handle: he's in love with a girl he's only communicated with online and via text.

Shocker: Ja'la, the woman, isn't exactly what she claims to be.

Former Meadowdale High School track standout Ja’la Henderson was on an episode of MTV's "Catfish." Jaylin, the young man who was catfished, is pictured above in a screen grab from the MTV show.

Turns out the catfisher is former Meadowdale High School track standout Ja'la Henderson.

She does run track and field at the University of Wyoming as claimed, but….  she had a boyfriend.

They even have matching tattoos.

Sorry Jaylin.

Ja'la seems to be doing pretty well for herself.

After stopping in Dayton, the show tracked the 19-year-old to the University of Wyoming where she is a freshman specializing in jumps and sprints, according to the university's website.

At the end of the episode, Ja'la apologized to Jaylin. It looked like they patched things up, but then things took a bad turn.
