Downtown Dayton store Confetti set to close

A small boutique in downtown Dayton will close its doors at the end of the month, unless the store is bought by potential investors.

Owner Briana Snyder said it’s time to shut down Confetti, a boutique stationery, balloon and part supply shop. The store is set to close on June 25, she said.

The store is located at 42 W. 5th St. in downtown Dayton.

Snyder initially announced the closure on Facebook, which evoked a large response from saddened customers.

“It’s tough to see something go that brought happiness and joy to people,” she said. “It’s time to step away from it.”

The owner said she’s focusing on her professional photography business, but she said people have put in offers to buy the store.

She will consider the offers, and would love to see someone give the store the attention it deserves.

“I’m very grateful for the support people have shown for the store in the past couple years,” she said.

Snyder is a graduate of the University of Dayton, and she opened Confetti in 2014. Customers can still buy products in the upcoming weeks.
