Miamisburg will consider a $1.5 million plan to fund a improvements to its downtown park on the Great Miami River.
The city’s long-range plan for Riverfront Park calls for a two-lane access road for the entrance of the 10-acre park on North Miami Avenue, where dozens of events are held each year.
Miamisburg City Council is set Tuesday night to consider allowing the work – part of a $10 million park master plan – to be funded by reimbursing temporary advances in fiscal years 2017 and 2018, according legislation.

The access road would connect Linden Avenue and Ferry Street – a span of about 1,000 feet, city documents show. The park’s revised long-range plan adopted two years cut about $7 million in improvement costs.
City council is set to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Miamisburg Civic Center, 10. N. First St.
