Municipal Brew Works will celebrate its first year in business this weekend with live music, a special bottle release and more.
Jim Goodman said he and his partners in the business have been overwhelmed by the support the Hamilton brewery has received from the community
“The turn out and support from Hamilton and the surrounding Butler County areas has been astounding. We feel blessed and look forward to many years to come,” he said.
Saturday morning at 10 a.m. the brewery will be releasing its first bottled beer.
“Our Imperial India Pale Ale will be sold in 22-ounce bottles. It uses 6 different hop varieties and a massive amount of locally sourced honey to get bring it to a 9.5 percent ABV,” Goodman told the Journal-News.
Municipal Brew Works will also be selling specially-made first anniversary T-shirts and IPA glassware during the weekend.
The Brody Bunch will be playing Friday night at the brewery, 20 High St.
The bands Outta Here, Chantelle and the Digs and 90’s rock band the Yada Yada Yadas will perform Saturday, beginning at 4 p.m.
“In between the acts, we will auction off a pair of our original tap handles with a first anniversary gift package for charity,” Goodman said.
Three food trucks are also scheduled to be at the brewery this weekend.
