YELLOW SPRINGS — The annual McKinney Chili Cook-Off will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Mills Park Hotel, 321 Xenia Ave.
Contestants can enter in either student or adult categories. Student entry is free while adult entry is $5. Entry forms are available at the McKinney Yellow Springs High School main entrance, Mills Lawn, and the Yellow Springs Library.
Those wishing to attend can sample chili, both vegetarian and vegan options, along with side dishes and desserts. The cost is $5 for ages 4-18, $10 for 19 and older, and $20 for a family. Children age 3 and under eat free.
Proceeds will go to fund the eighth grade trip to Washington D.C.
Chili cooks must set up their creations at 4 p.m. so judging can begin at 4:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and winners will be announced at 7 p.m.
