There are rooms with views and then there are rooms with views.
Several of the units in Delco Lofts apartment building now under construction in downtown Dayton fall into the with views category in big ways.
Those units offer crave-worthy views of Fifth Third Field where the Dayton Dragons hold court and nearby RiverScape MetroPark, which bubbles with activity during the summer months.
See for yourself in the view above.
Jason Woodard of Woodard Development gave us a tour of the building, which is now accepting lease applications.
Delco Lofts is expected to be ready for tenant move-ins in July 2017. But act fast if you’re interested -- about half of the 133 units in the building are already rented.
In the early 1900s, the building held Charles Kettering’s Delco headquarters.
Lock 27 Brewing will open its second location on the building’s first floor this summer.
The rental price for the studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments range from $900 to just over $2,000.
Residents will have private garages on the lower levels of the building and access to a top-floor event space.
The lofts are part of the Water Street District building developed by Woodard Development and Crawford Hoying.
Want to check out Delco Lofts for yourself? You’ll be able to next week. The building is part of the free Downtown Housing Tour set for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 20. The tour is organized by the Downtown Dayton Partnership and is part of the Summer in the City series.
It also includes tours of other downtown housing, including Monument Walk, Water Street Flats, St. Clair Lofts, Dayton Towers Apartments, City View, Brownstones at 2nd, First Place Luxury Apartments and the Wheelhouse.
