Mall at Fairfield Commons loses a restaurant tenant

The Mall at Fairfield Commons — which has added some high-profile restaurants during 2017, and is poised to add another one later this week — has lost one of its smaller eateries.

The Subway sandwich shop that had called the mall’s food court home shut down at the end of November after its lease expired.

There has been some turnover in the Beavercreek mall's food court in recent months. On Sept. 1, Asian Too opened in food-court tenant space that previously housed Cajun Ming. The food court also has added Gyro King and Sbarro Pizza.

Those food-court openings are part of a surge of dining options in and around the Mall at Fairfield Commons that include the openings of Melt Bar & Grilled, FUSIAN, and MacKenzie River Pizza Grill Pub. And later this week, Flyboys Deli, which operates a restaurant in Oakwood, is gearing up to open a second location this fall near the Beavercreek mall's front entrance.

“To meet shopper demand, we continue to evolve to deliver the right combination of retailers, dining, entertainment and events to keep shoppers engaged and returning often,” Kristie Miller, general manager at The Mall at Fairfield Commons, said in June in announcing the Asian Too and Flyboys Deli agreements.
