JUST IN: Owner of 2 Yellow Springs restaurants to open new venture in Fairborn

Another new restaurant is headed to Fairborn.

Lawren Williams, the owner of Williams' Eatery & Gathering Place and The Corner Cone Dairy Bar & Grill in Yellow Springs, has confirmed to Fairborn city officials that he will open a new coffee shop and deli in Fairborn, Fairborn City Manager Rob Anderson said this morning.

The new coffee shop will be located at 2 W. Main St. and is tentatively scheduled to open in early 2018, Anderson said.

“We are all very excited. Lawren is a hometown guy, a Fairborn native, plus he’s an experienced business owner,” Anderson said.

Fairborn’s downtown area is a “coffee desert” of sorts, Anderson said.

“It’s an issue that everyone talks about. The city has worked closely with Lawren to navigate issues relative to opening a new food business. We are proud of this relationship, and we look forward to having coffee downtown.”

Anderson said more details, including the name of the new coffee shop and deli, will be released in the coming weeks.
