West Carrollton residents are being asked if they are interested in allowing small farm animals in residential neighborhoods.

The city has posted a survey online seeking residents’ preferences on the issue after a building inspection last year showed ducks being kept as pets in a residential neighborhood on West Main Street.

Aside from seeking the community’s interest in allowing what city officials call “urban livestock,” the short survey also wants feedback on what animals should be allowed and under what conditions.

The survey is limited to West Carrollton residents only. It can be accessed through Jan. 24 at https://www.westcarrollton.org/urban-farm-animals-survey/.

Residents, without access to the internet, can call (937) 847-4634 to answer the questions by phone or request a mailed survey.
