Restaurants that opened in Dayton this December

Luckily for us, we had plenty of new restaurants and eateries open in Dayton this December.

Here are some of the most notable.

Boston Stoker

The new Boston Stoker coffee shop on South Main Street (Ohio 48) in Centerville has opened. The new shop also boasts two gaming rooms and custom-made cigar cases.

Plans call for closing an existing Boston Stoker coffee shop in the Washington Square Shopping Center on or about Dec. 31. There has been a Boston Stoker coffee shop in the Washington Square shopping center since 1981.

After a last-minute name change, the new Ms. Pam’s Old Dayton Style Golden Fried Chicken restaurant opened at 2920 Wayne Ave. near Belmont High School.

The Ms. Pam’s menu includes fried chicken pieces, chicken tenders, chicken livers and gizzards and boneless chicken. Sides include fried green tomatoes, fried broccoli-and-cheese bites, okra, cole slaw, green beans and macaroni & cheese. The restaurant offers a two-piece leg-and-thigh special on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $1.99.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

The nation’s largest barbecue restaurant chain has its sights set on southwest Ohio, with plans to open as many as 10 more locations in the region.

The local franchise owners of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit , which opened its first Dayton-area location in Springboro just five weeks ago, are actively scouting out potential sites in areas such as Fairfield and Liberty Twp. with an eye toward growing the chain’s presence in a seven-county area in the southwest corner of the state.
