The NFL’s Panthers fired general manager Dave Gettleman Monday afternoon, and at least two former Carolina players reacted on Twitter while former Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson seized the news as an opportunity to go job hunting. Sort of. Maybe.
Gettleman looks to have ruffled a few feathers with players, but Panthers safety and former Northmont High and Ohio State star Kurt Coleman appeared to keep his thoughts on the matter private. Coleman (@k4coleman) stayed above the fray Monday, when the Panthers re-Tweeted this sublime gem about him:
Chad’s also cool with almost everybody. Every once in a while, he’ll cause a disturbance because, well, you know Ocho! He keeps it real @ochocinco. (Be aware profanity is possible.) Like it says on his Twitter page, he is, “Famous for grammatical corrections, football, fashion & FIFA. Solving world problems with love for EVERYBODY. Cohost on @nacionespn2.”
Don’t you miss Ochocinco?
