Outside of the immediate downtown area, there's even more fun to be had! I'm super excited for The Winter Warm-Up at Jimmie's Ladder 11 with Subterranean and Love Alive. Music lovers are in for a treat there! $5 cover.

Want to check out a truly original show? Check out Moon Hooch, GnomeDad, and Wanyama at Oddbody's Music Room. If you haven't heard of Moon Hooch, you have to check out this trio made up of two saxophones and a drummer who met while attending The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York. Moon Hooch is like no other jazz trio you've heard! It's gonna be a good one! Doors 8pm. Show 8:30pm. Tickets are $15 advance, $20 day of show. 18+

Want to check out one of Dayton's newest music and event venues, and party while you're at it? Head over to  The Brightside Music & Event venue this Saturday night. Rick Sylvester is playing music the first half of the night and Adam Elfers  and  Gregory Bogard for the second half. It's a fundraiser too, so it's a win-win all around. Event runs from7pm-11pm. Early enough to still go out later and check out more bands too!

Missin' 90s rock? You're in luck!  Sponge is performing at Oddbody's Music Room. You'll remember their hits "Plowed" and "Molly (16 Candles)" among others. Best of all, they are sharing the stage with some fantastic local acts, including  Brent James and The Vintage Youth, Seth Canan and the Carriers, and Blackwater. There's lots of anticipation to see Brent James, in particular. All Access Magazine (Los Angeles) proclaims: "This kid is from another space and time. Breath of fresh air." Doors 7pm. Show 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 advance, $20 day of show. 18+

Puzzle of Light, Dayton's own fabulous quintet of musicians who play American Creative Music, are back at one of the favorite stomping grounds, the  Trolley Stop . 9:30pm. $5 admission. Great show for groups with a variety of musical tastes!

Electronic Dance Music fans - be sure to check out one heck of a party at 3DMentional Entertainment 's  Snowed In event at Club Masque. The party will feature two floors of local and regional electronic dance music DJs, along with a headlining set from internationally recognized DJ/producer J.Phlip. 

This is going to be one of Dayton's largest EDM parties ever! Doors will open at 9pm and tickets for those 18+ can be purchased at the door. Hard copy tickets can be purchased at Club Masque, Clash Dayton, and Shake It Records in Cincinnati for $18. Online tickets can be purchased at bit.ly/SnowedIn2017. Well worth the drive just a bit north, to check out some seriously cool bands: Next To Nowhere , Salvadore Ross and The Reset Button live at Oscar's Bar  in Vandalia.

It's a complimentary singer/songwriter night at One Eyed Jack's  (near WSU) with lots of acts on the bill including: Crow Spoon Creek, Eric Henry & Miss Lissa, Harold Hensley & Cassie Barker. Home Sown, Kim & Nathan (from Far From Eden), and Michaela Back & Aaron Cramer. 7pm Doors. 8pm- 2am Music. Free show!

The Springfield Arts Council Showstoppers series features The Midtown Men-Holiday Hits this Saturday, with stars from The Jersey Boys. It's a night of classic sixties music, Midtown-style, and a healthy sprinkling of yuletide selection. Be sure to arrive early for the complimentary holiday dessert bar from 6:30-8pm. Show at 8pm. For tickets call 937-328-3287. Tickets start at $37.00 plus fees.

Sunday December 3rd

Sunday in Dayton is for classical music lovers! Want to experience the Philharmonic in a new way? EDGE String Quartet  at the Dayton Metro Library Main Branch in the Eichelberger Forum (first floor auditorium). They will be playing Beethoven String Quartet in C minor, Op. 18, No. 4, selections from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, arr. Peoples: Arabian Dance and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy! And it's free! Show 3-4pm.
