There is a wide variety of live music for you to choose from this weekend, as always. There is a quite unique event happening at Yellow Cab on Friday evening, however: Sing, Dayton!
It's an opportunity to flex your vocals without too much personal pressure. You sing as a group, which is an idea I can get behind! This type of event lifts our spirits, and just when we need it the most!
Keep reading to find out about this event, and all the other fun stuff happening this weekend!
Who loves to sing? If you raised your hand, then make sure you get over to the Sing Dayton event at Yellow Cab on Friday evening. Event organizers ask you to imagine: People all around you choosing vocal parts for a popular lyric of a pop song. A music director stands up and guides the gathering in song. Voices merge, endorphins release, time slides... “Beer Break!” rings out, and the camaraderie continues, all the way to the next round of song. I love this idea! The Bach Society of Dayton is hosting this unique event. Just $5 admission. Snacks and drinks available for purchase. What fun!
Blues fans will love hearing that Noah Wootherspoon is performing back at the Oregon Express this evening. Always a great night of music with one of Dayton's favorite sons. Music usually gets going around 9:30pm. $5 cover. 21+
Acclaimed Wisconsin based rockers Kyle Megna and Ross Catterton are in town and performing at Trolley Stop. They are known for their dark-indie-blues-folk-rock feel, and are highly regarded.
