This year, Friday night is curated for the jam band fans, and Saturday night for the metal fans, which is an awesome idea! So help the hippies or the metalheads, your preference, by bringing in donations this weekend and enjoy the show. Performances start at 6 p.m. and run till 2 a.m.

The first night of the Restock Benefit kicks off with Jam Band Night at Oddbody's Music Room. The simply incredible line-up includes: The Almighty Get Down, Kommunity Service, Zane and The Sway, The Mainline Funk, Jojo Stella, In Ten Cities and Sharon A. Lane. Wow! This is an 18+ event. Doors open early at 6 p.m. Show starts at 7 p.m. $10 advance, $15 at the door. It's for charity, so open your wallets and hearts.
Downtown, alternative fans will want to check out HEXADIODE, Moira, and Mungbean at Blind Bob's. The bands promise a sublime evening of interlocking grooves, dark sky synths, and cathartic energy primed for the dance floor. Sweet! $5 cover. 21+ 9 p.m.
The always fun Cherry Lee & the Hot Rod Hounds are performing their all-original rockabilly at Tumbleweed Connection this evening. Gotta love that combo! 9 p.m.
If you're in Yellow Springs and in the mood to dance, check out Vibe & Direct at Peach's. This 3-piece group presents ever-evolving musical fusion, landing somewhere on the spectrum between rock, dance and electronic music. No cover. 9 p.m. 21+

. Solo sets are awesome too, with Paige Beller, Charlie Jackson, John Dubuc, and Achilles Tenderloin, as well as visual art displays. This is an ALL AGES show. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the first performance will start promptly at 8 p.m. Tickets available at the door for $10, children 12 & under are free.
Another fun show this weekend is happening at Jimmie's Ladder 11 with Yardboss, Ben Stalets & his wildass band, with extra special guest Brandon Hawk. How cool is that? Just a $5 cover. 9:30 p.m start time.
Grateful Dead fans will be boogieing to Arrows of Neon at Oregon Express for two full sets of music by The Grateful Dead. It's really great, for those who haven't checked them out. Lots of fun and a great sound! 9:30 p.m. Ages 21+. $5 cover.
If you're more of an R&B/Motown fan, check out Jeans 'n Classics perform your favorites with the Dayton Philharmonic and the exceptional voice of Gavin Hope at its forefront. This show celebrates the work of 20 of the finest African-American recording artists, including Stevie Wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson, Isaac Hayes, Seal, Smokey Robinson, Pharrell Williams. Tickets start at $29 and up depending on seat selection. 8 p.m. at the Schuster Center.
