One of New York's staple bands, Nonstop to Cairo, is in town and performing at South Park Tavern tonight. Newday reports: "The Baldwin based Rock-Ska-Reggae collective should not be missed." Sounds super fun! Music usually gets going around 9:30pm.
Another super cool show is at Jimmie's Ladder 11 tonight, with Timbre, the Neo-classical/Chamber-Folk for pixies and the young of heart. Rick Springfield, Night Ranger & The Romantics take the stage at the Fraze Pavillion this evening, in support of Springfield's newest and 18th album, Rocket Science. Sunday July 3rd
Partying in the Oregon District for Sunday Funday and fireworks? Get out early and swing by the back parking lot behind Ned Peppers and Hole in the Wall for the Big American Block Paw-ty! They are joining forces with SICSA and having an awesome Independence Day Bash! The Nightbeast, Tino, Violent Kind are all performing, along with live DJs, food, games, live art and a dunk tank! Who doesn't love a dunk tank? Party gets started at 1pm. Free! All ages, but only 21+ get to drink, obviously. Partial Proceeds will go to Sicsa Pet Adoption Center.
Richie Ramone - from The Ramones - is in town at Blind Bob's! The Ramones last played in Dayton in 1996, so this is a great chance to catch a legend. Duderus, Jasper the Colossal, Aurelius, White Outs, and The Raging Nathans will be rockin' out as well.
Love more of a Blues sound? Wander over to Tumbleweed Connection for The Doug Hart Band, who is also getting the District rocking too. Love that balcony!
As always, thank you for supporting live music!
