Weekend's Top Pick: Dayton Podfest

June's First Friday marks the first ever Dayton Podfest, presented by The Gem City Podcast, of which I'm proudly a co-host. This event, the brainchild of fellow host Izzy Rock, features live podcasts from five Dayton-based podcasts including Completely Straight, Bottom of the Bottle, Fresh Dope, The Learning Leader Show, and of course the Gem City Podcast.

The festivities, which include local beer on tap and   food trucks, takes place at the "Old" Yellow Cab Building downtown.  Doors open at Friday June 3rd at 6 p.m., with live podcasts from 7-10:30 p.m. Live music from Tino , Grenades!?, Nightbeast, and Team Void starting at 11pm. Admission is just $5 at the door.

Dayton Podfest hopes to showcase some of the podcasts that we have right here in the city.  The goal is to inspire a community of people that love the art and talent that we have in Dayton, and to raise awareness of our own local podcasts. We'd love to have you at this truly one-of-a-kind event!
