'Breaking Bad' star Bryan Cranston hits the Oregon District

UPDATE: we received confirmation of why Cranston was in Dayton.

The man who brought one the most celebrated TV characters of the last decade to life ate in the Oregon District last night, and things were spicy.

Bryan Cranston, Walter White on AMC's “Breaking Bad,” dined at Thai 9 with a group of about 10, Rob Strong, the restaurant's co-owner, told me.

Rob says the Emmy-award winner ate massaman curry with chicken and shrimp at a level 3.

It is not clear why Cranston was in town ( Rob wasn't sure, but says he might be filming something) or if he told anyone to say his name.

But it looks like Cranston had a good time.

The actor who also played Hal on the Fox comedy "Malcolm in the Middle" is all smiles in a photo with Thai 9 staffers.

Massaman curry with chicken and shrimp has a way of putting even "bad boys" in a good mood.
