Dayton kid star of new Nickelodeon series

An 11-year-old veteran Dayton actor (he's been at it since age 5)  is the star of Nickelodeon's newest animated series " Harvey Beaks."

Max Charles is the voice of Harvey, "a well-behaved bird with a big heart," in the show set to debut at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 29.

Harvey Beaks was created and produced by C.H. Greenblatt, a former writer for the crazy popular  Nickelodeon show Spongebob Squarepants and a former executive producer of Cartoon Network's Chowder.

Max was born and raised in Dayton, according to a press release about the show. He now lives in Los Angeles with his family.

Here is a snippet from Max's bio:

"(Charles)  recently starred in the Clint Eastwood directed movie American Sniper, and reprised his role of young Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider Man 2, alongside Andrew Garfield. Charles can also be heard in the DreamWorks animated film Mr. Peabody & Sherman as the title character Sherman.  Charles got his start in television at the age of 6 when he appeared in an episode of the hit HBO series True Blood."
