Donald Trump signs bag of Dayton coffee, 'None of the Above' kicking butt in poll

Hillary Clinton has jumped ahead of Donald Trump, but "None of the Above" is still kicking both of their tails in the second week of Boston Stoker Coffee Co's  Presidential Straw Poll promotion.

Through election day (Nov. 8), votes will be cast through sales of the Boston Stoker Custom House Blend coffee.

The purchase of a blue bag is a vote for Hillary Clinton, red bags for Donald Trump and white bags for “none of the above.”

Non of the Above, has 37 percent of the vote followed by Clinton with 33 percent and Trump with 30 percent.

There has been one cool development.

Trump signed a red bag while he was in town last week.

Not every Daytonian takes his or her coffee strong, but many take their politics seriously.

Perhaps with that in mind, Dayton-based Boston Stoker Coffee Co. released the results of the first week of its Presidential Straw Poll promotion.

Through election day (Nov. 8), votes will be cast through sales of the Boston Stoker Custom House Blend coffee.

The purchase of a blue bag is a vote for Hillary Clinton, red bags for Donald Trump and white bags for “none of the above.”

Each cup of coffee equals one vote. Each 12-ounce bag of coffee will cast 10 votes.

ReyRey Cafe at Wright State opened voting yesterday, Sept. 19.

The company will pick a weekly winner for a $50 gift certificate from those who post photos to Instagram with “#stokerstrawpoll.”

“None of the Above” was winning the field after the first week with 37 percent of the vote, followed by Trump with 34 percent of the vote. The coffee election is real close, though. Clinton had 29 percent of the votes.

None of the Above is so well-liked that it is winning at every location but Troy.
