"God Bless the U.S.A.” singer's local show canceled

UPDATE Sept. 3:

Nutter Center spokeswoman  Misty Cox says event promoter DaytonMet Credit Union decided to postpone the Wounded Warrior Benefit Concert set for Sept. 12 until 2016.

Refunds will be offered to those who purchased tickets.

Here's bad news for those hoping to sing along with Lee Greenwood next week: his Wright State University concert has been canceled.

The Nutter Center ticket office confirmed that the Sept. 12 Wounded Warrior Concert stop with country artist Lorrie Morgan and local favorite Alexis Gomez has been shelved.

No other information was available.

Greenwood, a Grammy winner and author of the new children's book Proud To Be An American, is best known for his pop/country hit "God Bless The USA."
