PNC Bank branch near Dorothy Lane Market set to close

The PNC Bank branch in Washington Square Shopping Center will close later this year, according to a company spokesman.

The bank branch at at 6067 Far Hills Ave., near Dorothy Lane Market, is being consolidated on April 21. Accounts will be transferred to the Town and Country PNC location at 4100 Far Hills Ave. in Kettering.

PNC said the consolidation is in response to the way customers are now using branches. An ATM will remain in the Washington Square Shopping Center parking lot after the consolidation.

“Increasingly, customers are opting to use our alternative and convenient online and mobile channels, as well as ATMs, for their basic banking needs,” said a PNC spokesman. “PNC continues to evaluate its branch network to assure we are meeting customer needs in a cost effective way, which at times results in the consolidation of branches.”
