Global airport rankings name Cincinnati best in U.S.

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International, which is a popular departure point for many Dayton-area residents, was the the highest-ranking U.S. airport and 26th among the Top 100 airports in the world in the annual Skytrax World’s Best Airport Awards, also known as the Passenger’s Choice Awards.

The airport, located in Hebron, Ky., just south of Cincinnati, was also named “The Best World Airport Serving 5 – 10 Million Passengers Per Year,” and earned second place for “World’s Best Regional Airport.”

Dayton International Airport was not included on the Top 100 list.
