A recent study from Earnest Research, a firm that uses raw data to help investors, found that by the summer of 2018, between 7% and 8% of brick-and-mortar shoppers at Kohl’s stores in Chicago were returning Amazon items.
In the first quarter of 2018, revenue at Chicago Kohl’s stores boosted 10 percent, compared to 5 percent growth at other U.S. stores, according to the study. For the full year, revenue grew 6 percent more at Chicago stores than others.
The number of customers that were new to Kohl’s in Chicago in 2018 was up 9 percent compared to 1 percent at other Kohl’s stores.
