Local Burger King restaurant closing at end of month

A Kettering Burger King restaurant is closing as the company finishes construction on a new location.

The 1431 E. Dorothy Lane fast food restaurant will close at the end of the month, employees of the restaurant said Wednesday. The property is also listed for rent.

Burger King has been on a month-to-month lease for quite some time, said Kelly Gray, the listing agent who represents the landlord. She didn’t know an exact close date but said Burger King plans to move the restaurant to a new location it’s currently building in the Meijer parking lot at 4085 Wilmington Pike.

There was previously a Burger King location in that area, Gray said. She worked the deal that brought Grismer in front of the Meijer store in 2014. It rebuilt where the Burger King restaurant closed in 2010, according to previous reporting from the Dayton Daily News.

The Dayton Daily News has reached out to Burger King for more details about the close date and employees.
