The new Dunkin’ Donuts will debut later this year with a drive-thru at 431 S. Locust St., which is part of the Bishop Square development.
The Dunkin’ Donuts in Oxford will likely be the first of its kind in the Cincinnati region — featuring a Next Generation concept store, according to OnSite Retail Group, which handles marketing and leasing of the Bishop Square retail and restaurant space.
Unveiled by Dunkin’ officials earlier this year, the Next Generation stores offer technology for customers to place their own orders from digital kiosks, faster drive-through visits for loyalty program customers through Dunkin’s “DD Perks” mobile app, and an increased selection of “grab-and-go” products.
“While losing Tim Hortons was unfortunate, the speed by which that space was backfilled by Dunkin’, followed by additional tenant interest which surfaced, shows the strength of the market and how attractive Bishop Square is,” said Joshua Rothstein, a retail specialist with OnSite Retail Group. “With that momentum as our barometer, we’re excited about the unique possibilities we’ll enjoy to fill the few remaining spaces.”
Developed on the site of a former Walmart, Bishop Square a mixed-use development of student housing, a public library and more than 17,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space. It is owned by Robert Fiorita of Columbus-based New Village Communities.
