David’s Bridal dresses won’t take as long to ship after it consolidates its design and production operations, the company said.

When David's Bridal emerged from bankruptcy early this year, it told its customers it would be faster and cheaper. Combining the production and design operations within Fillberg LTD, its joint-venture partner in China, is expected to reduce delivery time for area brides and bridesmaids. Design of the White by Vera Wang line will remain in Manhatten with the designer.

David’s Bridal emerged from a November bankruptcy filing after two months with little operational impact. There was no major real estate cutback and the company has plans to reduce costs on top-selling gowns and expand the dress assortment for sizes 0 through 30.

There are David’s Bridal stores in Miamisburg and two in Cincinnati.
