Perry pulled the shoes Monday after a social media backlash.

The shoes, which come in two colors, black and tan, and two styles, feature large blue eyes, a gold nose and big red lips, and closely resemble blackface.

The “Rue Face Slip On Loafers” and “Ora Face Block Heel Sandal” in black are drawing criticism because they look like classic blackface makeup.

Perry’s move to pull the shoes follows a high-profile accusation against another fashion brand last week. Gucci pulled a black sweater with a collar that rolled down to reveal a pair of big red lips after criticism and allegations of racist imagery.
